Sarashina Horii — Azabu-juban Main Restaurant (総本家 更科堀井 麻布十番本店)
History
The Horii family's business began in Azabu in 1789. It closed in 1941 and was rebuilt after the war; the present Sohonke Sarashina Horii opened in December 1984. The history of the business is dated from the start of the family business.
Sarashina soba (さらしなそば) is the shop's white buckwheat noodle specialty. Mori (もり) is chilled soba, while seasonal kawari soba (変わりそば) offers variations on the noodles.
