History
Founded in 1576 as a teahouse serving travelers on the Wakasa road. Today it serves lunch and dinner beside the Takano River, retaining barley rice with grated yam soup as a specialty.
Barley rice with grated yam soup (麦飯とろろ汁) is the specialty. Kaiseki (懐石料理) is a Japanese meal served as a sequence of courses; reserve ahead for lunch or dinner.
