Kameya Yoshinaga — Kyoto Main Shop, Shijo (亀屋良長 京都本店)

Kyoto / Shijo / HorikawaJapanese sweets

History

Founded in 1803, with Ubatama described as a sweet dating from its founding. Building on its confectionery tradition in Shijo Samegai, it now offers products designed for new ways of eating. It is separate from Kameya Yoshinaga at Teramachi Oike.

Ubatama (烏羽玉) is a brown-sugar sweet. Sliced yokan (スライスようかん) is a sweet topping designed to toast on bread. The shop also has a tea room.
