Nijo Wakasaya — Main Shop (二條若狭屋 本店)

Kyoto / Nijo / OgawaJapanese sweets

History

Opened in 1917 as a branch established from Sohonke Wakasaya. Its familiar name reflects its location on Nijo-dori.

Furo-sen (不老泉) is a mix for a thick, sweet drink, prepared with hot water. Fukuguri (ふく栗) and Yakiguri (やき栗) are chestnut sweets. The main shop is separate from the Teramachi branch's tea room.
