Furoen Masamitsu (不老園正光)
History
Originally a seller of mirin, a sweet rice-based seasoning, called Fujiya, it became a confectioner named Furoen in 1848. The founding date refers to that change.
Furo (不老) is a baked sweet filled with white-bean paste and walnuts. The shop also sells seasonal Japanese sweets and has an eat-in area.
