Atsuta Horaiken — Main Restaurant, Jinya (あつた蓬莱軒 本店(陣屋))

Nagoya / Atsuta / GodochoRestaurants

History

Founded in Atsuta in 1873. The business has continued specializing in eel and now has several branches. This guide covers the main restaurant in Godocho, whose location and hours differ from the Jingu and department-store branches.

Hitsumabushi (ひつまぶし) is chopped grilled eel over rice. Divide it into portions: try one plain, one with condiments and one with the supplied broth poured over it, then finish it your favorite way. This guide covers the Godocho main restaurant.
