Mochibun Sohonten — Main Shop (餅文總本店 本店)
History
The confectionery business began in 1659 in Fukuromachi, now Nishiki 3-chome in Naka-ku. Its present main shop has moved from the founding location to Yutaka in Minami-ku, and sells sweets centered on uiro.
Uiro (ういろ) is a steamed rice-flour sweet. This main shop sells seasonal and bite-sized versions to take away.
