Harijyu — Dotonbori Main Japanese Restaurant (はり重 道頓堀本店 日本料理)
History
Founded in Sakai in 1919, it later operated in Shinsekai before moving to its present Dotonbori location in 1948. The Japanese restaurant serves sukiyaki and shabu-shabu; the Western restaurant is separate.
Sukiyaki (すき焼き) is a beef dish cooked with sweet and savory seasoning. Shabu-shabu (しゃぶしゃぶ) uses thin meat slices briefly cooked in hot broth. Book the Japanese restaurant in the Dotonbori main building, not its separate grill or curry shop.
