Sushiman — Utsubohonmachi Main Shop (すし萬 靭本町 本店)
History
An ancestor opened a fishmonger's business in 1653, which became a suzume-zushi specialist in 1781. The business history starts with the earlier fish business, not the sushi specialty or the current Utsubohonmachi premises.
Kodai suzume-zushi (小鯛雀鮨) is a small-sea-bream sushi specialty. This shop sells pressed sushi (圧しすし) to take away; restaurant dining is at other branches.
